Tulum Energy Arrives on the Atlantic City Boardwalk as MAYA Begins Its First Full Summer Season

For Atlantic City, MAYA stands out as a rare kind of boardwalk retreat — a spot that feels both elevated and easygoing, blending beach‑day relaxation with cocktail‑lounge energy and a social buzz that lasts well into the night.

Atlantic City’s boardwalk is entering a new era — and MAYA is leading the shift.

After generating buzz with a late-season debut last summer, the Riviera-inspired outdoor lounge at Resorts Casino Hotel is officially stepping into its first full season, bringing a distinctly elevated atmosphere to one of the East Coast’s most iconic waterfront destinations.

Created by Momentum Hospitality Group, MAYA blends the laid-back luxury of Tulum with the vibrant energy of coastal nightlife, transforming a prime stretch of the boardwalk into a destination built for sunset cocktails, curated music, and elevated coastal dining.

“We wanted MAYA to feel transportive,” says the team behind Momentum Hospitality Group. “The goal was to create a place where people instantly feel like they’ve escaped the boardwalk — even if only for an hour.”

The design leans heavily into modern coastal aesthetics: warm woods, textured stone, lush greenery, ambient lighting, and an open-air layout that fully embraces the energy of the boardwalk while offering a more refined alternative to the typical nightlife experience.

But MAYA isn’t relying on aesthetics alone.

The cocktail program is quickly becoming one of the venue’s defining attractions, centered around bright tropical flavors, premium tequilas and rums, and visually striking presentations crafted for both cocktail enthusiasts and social media moments alike.

Among the early standouts is the now-popular Endless Summer — a tropical blend of rum, pineapple juice, coconut water, fresh vanilla cream, and fractured caramel, all served inside a hollowed pineapple for the ultimate coastal escape. Equal parts indulgent and experiential, the cocktail has quickly become one of MAYA’s signature — and most photogenic — summer offerings.

The food menu follows the same philosophy: elevated, shareable, and rooted in bold coastal influences. Favorites like the Ancho-Braised Beef Tacos combine slow-cooked beef, smoky ancho chili flavor, and refined culinary technique in a format that still feels approachable for a boardwalk setting. The broader menu leans into craveable small plates and vibrant flavors — from street corn empanadas to churro bites — all designed to pair naturally with the venue’s cocktail-forward atmosphere.

With Atlantic City continuing to evolve beyond its casino-centric identity, MAYA arrives at a moment when travelers and locals alike are searching for immersive hospitality destinations — places that feel curated, energetic, and visually unforgettable. Momentum Hospitality Group is positioning MAYA at the center of that evolution.

Throughout the summer, MAYA plans to host rotating DJs, live entertainment, sunset sessions, and specialty cocktail activations designed to keep the atmosphere evolving seamlessly from day into night.

And judging by the crowds already gathering around sunset, MAYA may quickly become the boardwalk’s most talked-about summer destination. For more information visit their website at https://www.mayaatlanticcity.com
