Unfinished Business at the Trop Atlantic City. Figueroa vs Caraballo Ramos

Mr. Atlantic City’s Justin Figueroa Gets His Rematch As Boxing Insider Closes Out 2026 At The Tropicana On November 13

Some fights end. Others just stop. Back in March, Justin “Mr. Atlantic City” Figueroa and Puerto Rico’s Luis Caraballo Ramos were three rounds into a main event that had turned into a full-blown brawl when it got too rough to continue. The bout was waved off in the third and ruled a no contest, and nobody in the Tropicana Showroom, least of all the two men in the ring, felt like anything had been settled.

On Friday, November 13, they settle it. Figueroa (14-0, 11 KOs) and Caraballo Ramos (8-10-1, 8 KOs) are doing it over for eight rounds at middleweight, in the same ring, in front of the same hometown crowd.

“These guys just did not like each other,” said promoter Larry Goldberg of Atlantic City. “It was turning into an all-out slugfest, and it never got finished. So we are going to run it back.”

For Figueroa, a Holy Spirit graduate and the Junior NABF super welterweight champion, the Trop is home turf. He has built most of his unbeaten career there with Boxing Insider, and the rematch gives him the chance to close the year with the clean result March denied him.

Jersey Power, Bronx Muscle

The co-features have a strong regional flavor. Manalapan Township’s John “Body Shot” Leonardo (13-1-1, 6 KOs), who headlined Boxing Insider’s very first Tropicana card in 2024, returns to face Kevin Nunez (6-4, 3 KOs) of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, over eight rounds at 122 pounds. Leonardo earned the nickname honestly; his work to the midsection is about as precise as it gets in this region.

Then come the big men. “We had to bring the big guys,” Goldberg said. The Bronx’s George Arias (19-1-1, 7 KOs), who Goldberg says is looking for an explosive return, meets Lynchburg, Virginia’s Joe Jones (16-15-2, 10 KOs) in an eight-round heavyweight bout.

Pleasantville Shows Up

Few fighters on the series draw like Julio Sanchez III (5-1, 3 KOs), a product of the Pleasantville Recreation Center whose neighbors reliably fill the room. He returns in a four-round lightweight bout.

The undercard adds unbeaten NABF super featherweight champion Iman Lee (15-0-1, 8 KOs) of Yonkers in his Atlantic City debut, Brooklyn’s Koby Khalil Williams (8-1, 6 KOs) against Italy’s Luigi Caniglia (5-1, 1 KO), and the Bronx’s Jahanzeb Rizwan (3-0, 2 KOs).

One Last Bell for 2026

November 13 marks Boxing Insider’s ninth Tropicana event since the promotion brought boxing back to the Trop in May 2024, and it is the last pro boxing show of the year in Atlantic City. Goldberg, named the New York Boxing Hall of Fame’s 2023-2024 Promoter of the Year, has made the Showroom a reliable stop for local fighters and the fans who follow them. This time, he is also delivering an ending eight months in the making.
