Atlantic City has long been synonymous with the roar of the crowd, the glare of the ring lights, and the boxing legends who made their names here. Today, that tradition is experiencing a powerful resurgence, thanks in large part to Boxing Insider Promotions and promoter Larry Goldberg, who has made it his mission to restore Atlantic City as a premier boxing destination—while also investing in the city’s youth through the Atlantic City Police Athletic League (AC PAL).

This November, boxing returns to the Tropicana Showroom with a full weekend of both professional and amateur competition. On Friday, November 7, Boxing Insider will present a 10-bout professional card, featuring hometown favorite Justin “Mr. Atlantic City” Figueroa (13-0, 10 KOs), making his fifth Tropicana appearance. Fresh off a Junior NABF title victory, Figueroa looks to continue his ascent in front of a home crowd.

The card also showcases international and rising local talent, including Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin, known for his battles with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury; undefeated heavyweight Bruce Seldon Jr. (7-0 6KO), of Pleasantville, makes his return to Tropicana with his toughest 6 round fight against (8-2 3KOs) Jose Medina as he follows in the footsteps of his former world-champion father; Berlin flyweight Lia Lewandowski, a former top-ranked amateur and one of the brightest stars, from New Jersey, makes her Tropicana Debut against Chantel Sumrall; Pleasantville’s own Julio Sanchez III returns home in a 4 round fight against Mike Randolph; and standout prospect brothers Elijah and Nathan Lugo, who bring an extraordinary combined amateur pedigree of more than 50 national titles and who Goldberg predicts will make a major splash on the international boxing scene in 2026.

“This card highlights fighters who will shape the sport’s future,” says promoter Larry Goldberg. “This event features the first boxing champion from Atlantic City since 2012 and the next generation of fighters who will fight all over the world. I hope everyone can come out for a fun night at the fights at Tropicana on Nov 7th.”

A Stage for the Next Generation

On Sunday, November 9, Boxing Insider joins with AC PAL to host the Battle of the Beach Amateur Showcase—with 100% of proceeds benefiting PAL youth programs. Young fighters will compete under the same lights as the pros, experience full-scale production, and feel the pride of walking into the same backstage rooms where champions prepare.

For many of these young athletes, boxing provides structure, mentorship, emotional support, and a path to self-belief. The PAL gym is not just a workout space—it is a lifeline.

“I’ve seen how boxing has changed lives,” Goldberg says.
