There’s something nostalgic, even magical, about a summer night of boxing on the Boardwalk—and Larry Goldberg is making sure Atlantic City gets its magic back. On Friday, July 25, the Tropicana Showroom will once again host live professional boxing, courtesy of Boxing Insider Promotions, founded by Goldberg—a Margate native and former Atlantic City High School grad.
Boxing Insider’s events blend world-class matchups with authentic local flavor, and this card is no exception. On the lineup: Bruce “The AC Express 2.0” Seldon, son of former heavyweight champ Bruce Seldon, makes his fourth appearance at Tropicana and his first six-round fight. Pleasantville’s Julio Sanchez III takes on veteran Alexander Stone after a promising debut in March.
National contenders round out the evening: Bronx’s Andy Dominguez faces Byron Rojas for the WBC US Junior Light Flyweight Silver Title; Baltimore’s undefeated Dominique “Dimes” Crowder returns following a November knockout win at Tropicana; and Philadelphia’s Daiyaan Butt, a Temple grad, adds serious firepower to the super lightweight division. Towering heavyweight Roney Hines brings his 6’6” frame and perfect record to Atlantic City. Justin “Mr. Atlantic City” Figueroa, who’s headlined multiple events in AC, will serve as the event’s charismatic host.

This marks Goldberg’s fifth Tropicana event in 14 months, a testament to his commitment to reviving the city’s boxing culture. “I used to work at Tropicana serving beverages,” Goldberg says. “Now we are bringing the next generation of fighters and fans out to enjoy the fights.”
Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster and the Tropicana box office, with prices from $52 to $204. The event will also stream live on DAZN.
